It is with deep sorrow and unwavering faith in God’s will that we announce the passing of Joseph P Sinous, he was a devoted husband, father, and dedicated member of the community. On November 17, 2024 Joseph, returned to The Creator, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, and kindness.
Joseph P Sinous was born on May of 1945 to the late Placide and Élisane Sinous in the commune ironically called Ti Bo a small community outside of Port Margot in the Northern Department of Haiti. He grew up with 8 siblings, 5 sisters and 3 brothers. He successfully completed his secondary education and before leaving Haiti in search of a better life. His first stop being The Bahamas where he worked as a tailor, it was there he was joined in marriage to his wife of 40 years Claire Sinous. On Jan 28, 1984. A few years later the family settled in the USA In 1986, where he would spend the rest of his life and become a father to 3 sons. While residing in the U.S. Joseph P. Sinous worked tirelessly in various roles to provide for his family, while making time to teach his sons the importance of education, a good work ethic, as well as family. As a father he was selfless, always ready to put their needs above his own, as a husband he was loving and devoted, as a brother as well as an uncle he was loyal always willing to help.
After a brief illness Joseph, age 79, returned to his Creator on November 17, 2024. As Job in his time said (Job 1:21) “The Lord gave The Lord taketh away may His Name be praised.” Barak Dayan HaAmet Blessed is The True Judge. We thank you God of Gods and King of Kings for the 79 years you have allowed your servant to spend with us.
Joseph is survived by his beloved wife, Claire, his two sons Gesner and George, his Brother Elie and two Sisters Rose and Mercilia, as well as his many nieces and nephews. May his memory be an inspiration to his family, friends and all who knew him.
