Lamise Presumar Obituary

Fred Saint Amand Jr Extends Deepest Condolences To The Presumar Family.

Lamise Presuma was born on October 28th, 1982 in Grand Goave. She was the daughter of Vilanie Zidor and Leconte Presuma. She was the only child left after her mom gave birth to a triplet. When she was 3 years old, a major shift happened in the family. Her father Leconte Presuma dreamed about a demon that came to devour her, and he decided to consult a voodoo priest because he did not know the Lord yet. In that dream, someone spoke with him and showed him a place and said, “That is where the Lord calls you to accept Him, after you do, go and preach the gospel”. During that moment the whole family became Christians, and Lamise herself accepted the Lord in 1998 and got baptized in that same year.
Because of her passion for education, in 2000, she moved to Petit Goave to join her older siblings where she went to school in College Emile Lau from 2000 to 2008. While in school, she learned cosmetology for a year and a half, which she practiced as a profession. In 2008 after completed her studies, she moved back to Grand Goave with her younger siblings upon the request of the family because the older siblings were already left for the USA. In 2009, she cofounded Eglise Chretienne de Grand-Goave with a group of missionaries. From that moment on, she spent most of her time serving the Lord, going on missionary trips to different places. In April 2013, she came to the United States, particularly in the State of New Jersey, two years later she married Jean Claudy Basquin on June 23rd, 2015, a man she had met in Haiti during her missionary trips. Just a few months after she got married, she was diagnosed with a disease calls “scleroderma” a chronic hardening and contraction of the skin and connective tissue, throughout the body. Even though she went to several hospitals and underwent several surgeries, they could not find a cure to stop the illness that kept depriving her body. On July 5th, 2018, she was again hospitalized in St Barnabas hospital in the hope of recovery and she underwent a last surgery on July 27th. Sadly, she gave her last breath on the 31st of July, at 3:00 am at the age of 35. She left behind her husband Jean Claudy Basquin, her mom Vilanie Zidor, her dad Leconte Presumar, her sister Vieregelise Presumar with her husband Emmanuel Michel, her brother Monetoil Presumar and his wife Esther Delice, her sister Jeanine Presumar and her husband Lesly Labady, his brother Lemond Presumar and his wife Marie Laure Alsaint, his brother Eddy Presumar, her sister Miguerline Presumar and her husband Yvenet Jean Louis, and her sister Venette Presumar, her little nieces and nephews Emma Michel, Vanessa Michel, Carla Michel, Ashley Labady, Don Labady, Rebecca Labady, Liam Labady, Analiah Presuma, Mianah Presuma, Mikayla Presuma, with tears and melancholy. Unfortunately, Lamise did not have a child; however, she was more than a mother for her three youngest siblings, namely Eddy, Mina, and Venette. For her little nephews and nieces, she took care of them as if they were her own children. Even though we are all affected by this great tragedy, we depend on the Lord to carry us on through. Knowing that we will see her again, her departure will have less impact on our lives. The Bible says, in John 11:25, He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies. Furthermore in 1 Corinthians 15: 52, the scriptures also confirm that there will a resurrection for those who believed in Jesus before they died. Therefore, her death is a transition from the physical world to the spiritual one.

No one can get used to death because when it happens you would not want to accept it; unfortunately, we have no choice. We would not have enough time to detail how kind Lamise was toward everyone. It was through her birth that the entire family came to know Jesus, she was a great leader, a prayer warrior, a worshiper, respectful and faithful servant of the Lord, a courageous person, and caring person who loves everyone. The death of Lamise has left pain and sorrow among families and friends. She will be greatly missed. We come to the moment to give a last tribute to her and we have no doubt that her hard works will follow her. We hope God will receive her in His kingdom.
May her soul rests in peace!!!
