Lifaite Bertrand Obituary

Lifaite Bertrand, a devoted husband, cherished father, and beloved member of the Desdunes community, passed away on March 31, 2026, at the hospital, surrounded by the people he loved most—his wife, Marie P. Hyppolite, and his children Fedjina Bertrand, Jennifer Bertrand, Fedjoulie Bertrand, and Jeffery Bertrand. His passing followed a sudden heart attack after a tragic accident while on his way to work. His departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him.

Born on February 14, 1977, in Desdunes, Haiti, Lifaite was the treasured son of Saint Jacques Bertrand and Merita Luxe. From a young age, he was known for his quiet strength, gentle spirit, and unwavering kindness—qualities that would define him throughout his life.

In 2005, Lifaite married the love of his life, Marie P. Hyppolite. Their union was built on deep affection, mutual respect, and an unbreakable bond. When Marie later emigrated to the United States, Lifaite remained steadfast, working tirelessly until he was able to join her. Reunited, they built a beautiful life together—one grounded in love, sacrifice, and shared dreams. Their marriage became a model of partnership and devotion.

Lifaite was a man of few words but a heart full of generosity. He was friendly, humble, and always willing to lend a helping hand. His presence brought warmth to every room, and his quiet humor made him a joy to be around. Above all, he loved his family deeply. His children were his pride, and he worked hard to ensure they felt supported, protected, and cherished.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and integrity. In addition to his wife and children, Lifaite is survived by his siblings: Marie Thérèse Bertrand, Ocla Bertrand, Benette Bertrand, Marken Robin, and Berlin Bertrand, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will forever hold his memory close.

Lifaite’s life was a testament to humility, resilience, and unconditional love. Though his time on earth ended far too soon, the impact he made will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
