Louise Charles-Pierre Obituary

Marie Louise Charles-Pierre
December 15, 1940 – August 9, 2025

Marie Louise Charles-Pierre, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 84 years old.

Born on December 15, 1940, in Ouanaminthe, Haiti, to the late Francik Noel and Maria Germaine.  Louise lived a life full of faith, devotion, and love. In the 1960s, she and her then husband left Haiti for Florida. Shortly thereafter, she moved to New Jersey beginning a new chapter. She attended Bloomfield College and earned her certification in phlebotomy, going on to serve as a phlebotomist at St. Michael’s Hospital and UMDNJ for over 30 years. Known for her skill and compassion, she retired in 1993.

Her faith was central to her life and after retirement, she became a devoted and active member of the Morija and Bethsiada Seventh-day Adventist Churches. She served faithfully as Director of Deaconess, on the Cooking Committee, and was a loyal member of the Rock Of Jacob prayer line—always ready to help someone in need. She will be missed by her brothers & sisters in Christ.

As the matriarch of the family, Louise’s personality and presence shaped generations. She was affectionately known by many names, including Marie, Mme Jacques, Gah,  Soeur Louise and Grandma. She loved a lively game of bingo, enjoyed long phone calls to check in with family and friends, and was a true prayer warrior whose faith lifted others. She never passed up a sweet treat and had a love for Wawa iced coffee. She was known for her quick-witted responses that could bring a smile to anyone’s face. Her endless generosity and deep compassion touched everyone who crossed her path.

She is survived by her three children: Edna Bundu (Hasmieu), Evelyn Wooster (Tom), and Guilene Ham (Demetrius). She was the proud grandmother of Jessica Cadet (Roberto), Jasmine St. Jean, Braxton Ham, Nicholas Fameux, Sydney Ham, Danielle Ham, and Maison Ham.

She is also survived by her cherished siblings:

From the Noel family of Carmelle: Carmelle Noel and her children: Jacqueline Beliard, Angelot St. Juste (Pharah), Evens St. Juste, Judenel St. Juste, Michel St. Juste (Kettia), and their families.

From the Noel family of Domingue: Domingue Noel (Solange) and their children: Islande Stuppard(Carlo), Berwens Noel, and their families.

From the Noel Family of Delvarist (deceased): Yvelyn Noel, Carline Noel, Samuel Noel, Rodney Noel and their families.

Louise’s presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of faith, love, and generosity will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
