Lucide Dieujuste

Lucide Dieujuste, 51 years of age, passed away on Saturday, October 4th at 12:10 AM. She took her last breath at Newark Beth Israel Hospital due to advanced bladder cancer.

Lucide was born on November 4, 1973, in the city of Dedunes, Haiti. She was the beloved daughter of the late Claircina Dieujuste. Lucide graduated from high school in 2000.

She was a proud and loving mother of three children. Her first child was born on January 27, 2001; her second, Lourdensky Joseph, was born on January 6, 2004; and her youngest, Shedwens Philipe, was born on August 31, 2011.

In 2007, Lucide moved to the United States, brought over by her parents in hopes of building a better life for her and her children. Lucide was a strong, compassionate, and deeply devoted woman who lived a life marked by love. She carried with her the warmth and spirit of her homeland in everything she did.

Professionally, Lucide dedicated herself to caring for others as a Home Health Aide (HHA). She was known not only for her reliability and dedication but also for the extra care and kindness she gave to her clients. She went above and beyond — offering comfort, companionship, and love. Her clients and their families cherished her deeply.

Outside of work, Lucide found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved watching her favorite Haitian shows, chatting on the phone with friends and staying closely connected to her roots. Her friendships were filled with laughter, support, and warmth — a reflection of the love she brought into every relationship.

Lucide Dieujuste lived with a heart full of generosity and an unwavering desire to help others. Her strength, sacrifices, and boundless love for her family leave a lasting legacy. She will always be remembered as a mother who gave everything, a friend who listened, a caregiver who loved deeply, and a woman who lived with purpose and heart.
