Lucie Charles Michaud Obituary

Lucie Charles Michaud was born on February 28, 1944, in Borgne, Haiti. She was the beloved daughter of Feuille Charles Chachoute and Antonia Louissaint. She spent her early years in Borgne and pursued her education at the Baptist School in Trou d'Enfer. After completing her primary studies, she continued her education in the town of Borgne, where she met the love of her life, Antoine Michaud. Together, they built a beautiful family, blessed with eleven children.

She was a woman of profound kindness, always finding ways to make others laugh and feel loved. She shared many joyful years with her husband, raising their children with unwavering responsibility and devotion. After the passing of Antoine, she courageously took on the sole responsibility of raising her family.

In 1982, she emigrated to the United States in search of a better life for her children. During her time in America, she met Octarius, and together they built a life filled with love, joy, and resilience. From this union, they were blessed with a son, Hadly Octarius. Their close bond was visible to all who knew them, as they were inseparable throughout the years.

A woman of deep and abiding faith, she was a dedicated member of Pasteur Karl’s church. She found great joy in worship, community, and service. She was a wonderful mother, an extraordinary aunt, a devoted sister, and a loyal friend to many. Her door was always open, her table always had room for one more, and her heart knew no bounds.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved children: Antoinette Michaud, Nahum Michaud, Wikenson Michaud, Maltaliana Michaud, Nicole Michaud, and Adley Octarius. She is also survived by 42 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, a testament to the legacy of love she created.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Charlemagne Cetris, Pasteur Jean Charles, Souvenise, Hermancia Souprenne, Roselle, and Lerandie, and she was the last surviving sibling of her generation.

She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Her life was a shining example of resilience, strength, compassion, and faith. Though her physical presence will be missed, the love she poured into her family and community will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.

We rejoice knowing that she is reunited with loved ones who have gone before her and is resting in the arms of her Savior.
Her legacy of love, strength, and faith will never be forgotten.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
2 Timothy 4:7
