Manelie Jean-Baptiste

Born on March 13, 1932, in Bainet, near Jacmel, Manelie Jean- Baptiste was a beacon of faith and love throughout her life. She moved to Port-au-Prince at an early age, where she later met Francis Maurice in Bainet. Together, they welcomed their son, Jean Franck Maurice, in 1966, who remained her only child.

Manelie Jean-Baptiste life in Port-au-Prince was marked by her devotion to family and community. She was a nurturing mother not only to her son but to all children, friends, and family members. Her selfless nature and unwavering support made her a beloved figure in the community. She needed very little to live but gave so much love and care to others. Family and church meant everything to her.

In 2003, Manelie moved to New York to live with her son and help raise her twin grandchildren, Nadia and Jeremie. Her bond with her grandchildren was profound, and they became the center of her life.

In 2004, she relocated to Jersey City with her son's family and joined L’Eglise Angelique Haitienne, where Manelie became a faithful and respected member of the church community. Her faith and dedication continued to shine brightly.

In 2009, Manelie moved with her son's family to West Orange, where she joined the church Christ Resuscité in East Orange. She spent her remaining years there, surrounded by loved ones and continuing her legacy of faith and love.

Manelie Jean- Baptiste's life was a testament to the power of faith, love, and community. She will be deeply missed by all who know her.
