Marie Lea Alexandre

Marie Léa Alexandre was the 4th child to  Mr. Charles Alexandre and Miss Antoinette Dorcélus Alexandre.

She was born on July 8th 1929 in Saint Marc Haïti. She grow up to be a beautiful young lady who loved helping others no matter if they were family or friends. She raised all of her nieces and nephews with a lot of love and care. She taught us how to dress, play, recite poems, songs and told us a lot of stories. She also showed us Girl Scout activities and she even took us to many beaches and hikes on the mountainside. She loved to give us castor oil just to clean out our system when we were on vacation as children. Aunt Léa was a beautiful spirit!

She used to help those who lived together who were unmarried or doesn't know God, recognize God and even helped them get married, baptized and have communion to served God. She was a prayer warrior, a deaconess and participated in everything at Church.

Marie Léa Alexandre came to us in her old age and was still faithful to God. She took care of our children when she came to the US and never complained about doing so. She was an amazing person!

She used to live with us until she moved out to her own apartment. She lived on her own for a very long time until she got ill and moved to a nursing home. Marie Léa Alexandre fought her illness for many years, she was transported from hospital to nursing home back and forth until the day she passed away on March 25th 2021 at 2:15 pm. We will always miss her, but we know that now she is now resting peacefully in Jesus's arms.
