Marie Adelphise Philippe

Marie Adelphise Philippe was born on December 13, 1946, in Dobey, 2nd Section of Dessalines Commune. She was a mother, a grandmother, a sister, an aunt, a cousin, a family, and a friend that everyone would love to have.

During the 78 years old she spent on earth, among us, Marie Adelphise was a kind-hearted person, always a model for her family, and a great example for all her friends. She loved to share everything she had with others. She valued education, always encouraged and supported her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and other family members who wanted to learn.

Marie Adelphise was a respectful, courageous woman of great character and big visions. As a woman with dreams, she decided to leave Haiti in 1980 to enter the United States. Despite this decision that sent her far from Haiti, Marie Adelphise never stopped thinking about the development of Haiti. Traveling to Haiti and political debate were Marie's greatest passion.

Marie Adelphise is survived by her daughter: Arlene Philippe Louis, her son in law Brinsley J Louis with daughter Lindsay Louis, her 2 sons Johnson Philippe and Emmanuel Philippe, her grandchildren Johnathan Philippe, Emma Philippe. Marie Adelphise is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Nabius Joseph (Gaby), Esther Joseph (Yanick), Marie Pierre Joseph (Lolotte), Mrs. Moïse Zamor (Lametise), Wilson Joseph, Lux Joseph, Mrs Dantès Desir, Eslange Joseph, Saintilus Pierre, Molière Joseph, Sylvienne Pierre, Mrs Duva (Clarmicia), Clermont Joseph and Ulrick Pierre. In addition, her late husband Pascal Philippe, and her 8 siblings who already passed away: Maxo Joseph, Frankel Joseph, Methelus Joseph, Edner Joseph, Occean Joseph, Arioste Joseph, Roosevelt Joseph and Meraus Joseph. In addition, she is survived by her nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives far and near that have not been mentioned.

A special thanks to friends & family, to the committee of Baptiste Church of Jesus Christ, for those attending Marie Adelphise Philippe funeral. We were so touched by your support during this difficult time. It meant a great deal to our family. Your presence was a comfort to us.
