Marie Carmen Benoit

Marie Carmen (Philogene) Benoit was born on June 8, 1934, in Léogâne, Haiti. She was blessed with a long and meaningful life, centered around family and the generations that grew from the love she shared.

Marie Carmen was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Aleandre Benoit, with whom she built a beautiful family and shared many years of life and memories until his passing on August 25, 2021. Together, they were blessed with seven children: Marie Monique Simon, Luckner Benoit, Phonise Limage, Donald Benoit, Marie Georgia Theodore, Wilken’s Benoit, and Doudy Benoit.

Her greatest legacy can be seen in the family she leaves behind. Through her children came many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each carrying forward a part of her story and the Benoit family legacy. She also experienced the sorrow of losing two of her sons, Luckner and Wilken’s, as well as her husband, parents, and siblings. Marie leaves behind a beautiful and lasting legacy through her grandchildren, Maxime Junior Simon, Kathia Benoit, Luckner Benoit Jr., Dany Benoit, Reginald Benoit, David Limage, Daniel Limage, Tarmaine Benoit, Terrence Benoit, Donaelle Helene Benoit, Melissa Benoit, Tania Theodore, Andy Theodore, Deidra Amanda Benoit, and Kendra Benoit. As well as her loving great-grandchildren: Melanie Limage, Alaina Wintz, Janiaya Wintz, Eden Benoit, Aubrey D. Benoit-Wilson, Arielle G. Wilson, Ameer M. Wilson, and Leighton Thomas, who will continue to carry her love, memory, and legacy for generations to come.

On July 29, 2026, Marie Carmen completed her earthly journey in New Jersey, surrounded by the legacy of a life that spanned 92 remarkable years.

Though she has departed from this life, Marie Carmen’s memory will continue to live through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those whose lives were touched by her presence. Her life was a blessing, her family is her legacy, and her memory will remain in their hearts for generations to come.
