Marie Ivenise Alusma

Marie Ivenise Alusma born Marie Ivenise Louisma dedicated her whole life to serving her family and others. She left behind her husband, Bertau Alusma and her 4 children. She was a devoted mother to her children: Vadyne Alusma-Moussignac, Brunie Alusma, Ivelande Alusma-Clermont, Ferdiana Alusma-Chery and a loving and playful grand-mother to her 9 grandchildren, Judy-Ann Toussaint, Annberthe-Laurie Toussaint, Andrew Moussignac, Thaleessa-Jayne Chery, Clarence-Uri Chery, Aleeyah-Jaynel Chery, Jayden-Avery Chery, Naelle Ivy Clermont and Nesly Iven Clermont and her 2 grand grandchildren Malayah Fulton and Cameron Fulton. Her biggest wish was to see her children accomplish their goals. She would always say: “You can be whatever you want to be as long as you are educated”; School was a priority to her.  She was proud of all of her offspring.  She didn’t know how to read and sometimes she could barely write her name but believe it or not she was behind the biggest accomplishments in her children’s lives until she couldn’t help them anymore.  We want to celebrate her life as a courageous, determined, and strong woman who has lived her life without regrets. She was very sassy when she wanted to be and could say the craziest things at the craziest times. She will be deeply missed.
