 Pandan tout lavi long li a, Jose te yon modèl konpasyon, bon kè, ak detèminasyon. Li te toujou akeyi ak lanmou tout moun ki vin jwenn li, kèlkeswa sikonstans lan. Kay li te yon refij; kè li te louvri pou tout moun.

 Li te viv kòm poto mitan fanmi an, youn ki te toujou mete byennèt lòt moun an premye. Jose te jwenn lajwa nan kontantman lòt moun epi li te yon fanm lapriyè, lafwa, ak mizik. Vwa li te leve ak lespwa lè li te chante nan legliz, epi prezans li te pote chalè kote li pase.

 Erè li kite pa sèlman nan pitit li, pitit pitit li, ak fanmi li, men nan kè tout moun ki te gen privilèj pou yo rankontre li.

 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Jocelie Mathurin, affectionately known to all as "Jose." Born on April 24, 1929, Jose lived a remarkable life filled with love, devotion, and service to her family and community.

 Family Legacy

 Jose was born to Clemence Lexine (mother) and Alfrezin Mathurin (father). She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Malthide Mathurin and Adelina Mathurin, and her brother, Vincent Mathurin.

Jose was blessed with six children: Ery Beneche (deceased), Carolle Beneche, Fritz Joseph (deceased), Jean Richard Joseph, Chantal Joseph, and Carline Joseph.

 Her legacy continues through her 26 grandchildren: Antoine Benèche, Marilyn Benèche, Mika Pascale Benèche, Gina Benèche, Paul Erio Benèche, Samuel Benèche, Esdras Benèche, Jude Benèche, Jonathan Benèche, Caleb Benèche, Marie Sullie Jemina Benèche, Stanley Gaspard, Ricardo Jean Baptiste, Michel Jean Baptiste, Richardson Joseph, Bleck Joseph, Johanne Joseph, Jeremiah Joseph, Jose Camille Joseph, Joseph Hudson Joseph, Robine Felix, Hagler Inacio Leveque, Jude Joseph, Sarah Joseph, Josèph Guillens, 

She also leaves behind all her great-great-grandchildren, her niece(s) Mary Michelle Clairvilus, and her nephew(s) Charlot Carolus, Dania Mathurin, Jeff Mathurin, Jo Richard Mathurin, Regine Mathurin, Marsofia Mathurin, and Danie Mathurin.

 A Life of Love and Service

Throughout her long and beautiful life, Jose embodied the true spirit of compassion and generosity. She had an extraordinary gift to make everyone feel welcome and loved, opening her heart and home to anyone in need. Jose lived her life as a beacon of kindness, always putting others before herself and finding joy in the happiness of those around her.  She was a strong member in this church and her voice stood out in the crowd when she sang. Her legacy of love, caring, and selfless service to others will forever remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
