Marie Rose Louis Jean

Marie Rose Louis also known as Cleonise was born on May 26, 1950 in Limbe, Haiti to the late Clerine and Atilia Louis. She grew up Christian household. Growing up she was an active member in Sunday school, church services, Bible study, and other church functions. At a young age she took interest in caring for others and pursued a career in the medical field and became a Nurse. While working as a nurse she cared for a young child named Ronel Charles who she later raised and nurtured him as her own. Years later as a young woman she met and married Cherizard Daniel Jean. They were married for 42 wonderful years. The two of them began their family in Cape Haitien. In Haiti they had two children, son Cherizard Daniel Jr., and daughter Fabienne. In the mid-1980s they moved to the United States and had two more children, son Brechenel, and daughter Marsha. Marie’s family not only saw her as a God-fearing woman, but as a dedicated mother who was compassionate, selfless, graceful, full of wisdom, and an amazing cook. She was a very loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin. All those who knew her would say she was a devoted Christian, who was extremely generous, and had a smile that would brighten up any room. Marie was hard working and when she was not caring for her family at home, she was caring for patients at Newark Extended Care Nursing Home, where she worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant for over 15 years. While working there she built long lasting friendships. Throughout her lifetime she touched countless hearts and impacted many lives. On December 18, 2020 in New Jersey, Marie was called home to be with the Lord. Although she is no longer with us physically, all the memories, laughs, and wisdom shared will be embedded in our hearts forever. Marie is predeceased by her late parents Clerine Louis and Atilia Mondelus Louis, brothers Pastor Cleonce Louis, and Dicleus Louis. Marie is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Cherizard Daniel Jean, her children Daniel Jean Jr., Fabienne Jean, Brechenel Jean, Marsha Jean Stovall, and Ronel Charles. Her grandchildren, Colbeana Fanfan, Calvin Fanfan, Chantel Jean, and Jack Stovall lll, her sister Suzelie Francois, also a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
