Marie Therline Jean-Pierre was born on July, 22nd 1968 in Port Au Prince, Haiti to the parentage of the late Raymond Jeanty and Sophanie Cineus. She left Haiti at the age of 20. Marie Therline completed her studies at Montclair High School. She had a few nicknames; her friends would call her "Therline" or "Fifi".
While residing in the U.S., Therline cared and provided for her family both here in the US and in Haiti. She loved to cook, that was her love language. She never shied away from volunteering herself to cook for any occasion. As a matter of fact, Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday. She would cook an entire feast complete with side dishes and desserts. She would also invite all her family to come to her home to spend time together eating and laughing. She loved having a full house whenever she could. She never asked for help with the cooking because she loved to pour all the love she had in her heart into her cooking. Also, to make sure the food was good.
From an early age, she taught her children all they needed to know about living. She valued education and being a respectable individual and that is how she raised her children to be. Every summer when the kids were off from school, she would take time from working two jobs to take her kids to the beach, the mall and often NYC. She always wanted to give her children fun experiences that she didn’t have when she was growing up. Despite her illness, Therline was known as someone with a strong spirit who never gave up.
On September 3rd, 2023, Therline was called home to be with the Lord. Sharing the memories of her wonderful life are:
Her Daughter: Jenny
Her Son: Fritzner
Her Brothers: Wilbert, Phoenix, and Jean Yves
Her sisters: Soledad and Rebecca
