Martha Registre

Martha Registre, 80 of Roselle, NJ passed away peacefully at home on April 1, 2023
surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on June 13th, 1942, in
Mirebalais, Haiti, the daughter of the late Exais Registre and Antonia Philippe.
Martha was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a
warm and loving person who touched the lives of everyone she met. She had a kind
and giving heart, and she was known for her compassion and generosity towards
others, always going out of her way to help, often secretly, those in need.
Prior to coming to the United States, Martha lived for a short time in Kingston,
Jamaica in 1981 and then spent several years in Freeport, Bahamas. From the
Bahamas, she came to the United States in 1989, living in New York and later settled
in Roselle, NJ.

Throughout her life, Martha was a hardworking and dedicated individual who
achieved great accomplishments in caring for children. For most of her life, she was
a trusted and caring babysitter. She loved children and enjoyed taking care of them
like her own. However, her true passion was serving God and helping others. She
was an active member in her church, always the first one to sing a song during
church service solo and testimony time.

Martha played an active role in the lives her children and grandchildren. She loved
preparing special meals for them, meals she knew they liked. She always looked
forward to attend her grandchildren’s special events, such as graduations, dance
class recitals, or even school concerts.

In her free time, Martha enjoyed coloring, and she was an avid fan of the Christian
TV station, TBN, and Hallmark. She would have lengthy conversations with anyone
she knew who was willing, or not, about Hallmark movies she saw.
 

Martha Registre is survived by her five children: Julio Louis, Marilyne Fleurant,
Dieula Alizar, Elizabeth Cole, and Kelly Richard; 3 brothers: Jean Claude Registre,
Pierre Yvon Registre, and Sylvio Registre; 2 sisters:, Irma Registre and Marie Gislène
Dupont; 11 grandchildren: Julie, Jason, Sabine, Elise, Jasmine, Kyle, Joshua, Jessica,
Sophia, Mia, and Tyler, and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
