Mavilia Joseph was born June 29, 1949, in Dedin latibonit to parents Silvia Pierre and Antoine Joseph. Mavilia attended Dedin Catholic Church. She completed her studies at the age of 18 years old. Soon after she started her primary studies at a vocational school and graduated in tailoring and sewing. She started making her own clothes and making wedding dresses for women in the neighborhood. Mavilia left Haiti in 1980 to come to United States and reside in Irvington NJ. She worked at Silver Line and retired after 20 years.
Mavilia was a nice person with a beautiful heart. She loved God and loved going to church she enjoyed listening to gospel music and reading her bible. Mavilia was called home to the lord on March 17, 2024. She leaves behind her two Children Chrisna and Christo Her two granddaughters Jaiana and Jada and her brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
