Maxene Joseph was born on July 4th, 1944 in St. Marc, Haiti. He was the son of the late Destra Joseph and Martha Maturin. He began his educational studies in St. Marc, Haiti.
Mr. Joseph was the second of 9 siblings. His brothers: Charles Joseph(deceased), and Herve Joseph.
His sisters: Rosette Joseph(deceased), Bellone Joseph(deceased), Guerda Joseph(deceased), Tanoune Joseph(deceased), Marie Joseph(deceased), and Majorie Joseph.
In September 1984, he married his love Dadoune Joseph. A union that lasted over 40 years. A loving father of 4 children: Stael, Kathia, Maxene Jr., and Vanessa.
Maxene's career in Haiti saw him serve as a director in education before becoming the principal at Stenio Vincent in St. Marc, Haiti. His dedication to education and the betterment of his community was evident in his work. In 1982, Maxene moved to the United States, where he worked for NJ Transit and later managed medical equipment at St. James Hospital.
Known for his honesty, love, and charisma, Maxene never failed to impart wisdom and joy to those around him. He was a man of many talents who loved to talk, joke, sing, and recite poetry, always captivating his audience with his vibrant personality.
In 2004, Maxene suffered a stroke, an illness he faced with immense courage, unwavering faith in God, and deep love for his family. His strength and resilience were inspiring to all who knew him. Maxene's final days were spent surrounded by the family he cherished deeply.
Maxene Joseph is survived by his devoted wife, Dadoune Joseph, and their children: Stael, Kathia, Maxene Jr., and Vanessa. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Rebecca, Melissa, Michael, Gabor Aiden, Gabrielle Aida, Bobby Jr., and Paul Mompremier. Maxene's legacy continues through his nieces and nephews: Amos Perde, Pierre L. Louinel, Mariel, Patricia, Miller, Dounna, Elbert, Teddy Cherubin, and Ernica Jastram.

His memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
