Melina Fils-Aime

Melina Fils-Aime, known as “Joceline or Ti Joce” by her loved ones, was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, on March 20th, 1963. Because of her helping nature, she studied nursing and became a full-time nurse at FAME PERO INSTITUTE. She was a highly devoted Christian woman whose faith was the cornerstone of her life. Her actions and involvement in her church, such as youth leadership, tournee missionnaire, and Sunday school teacher, were a testament to the strength of her beliefs.

In 1996, she left Haiti to join her father and siblings in the United. It was a new world for her, but this was just a challenge honed beautifully. She could not stay away from healthcare and always managed to go to work even though she was sick. Her dedication to her work was truly inspiring. Ti Joce was willed, solid, and firm in her conviction. She did not just talk for the sake of talking. She was very strict yet loving. She gave advice but was never imposed. She would rebuke, but never out of malice, only because she wanted the best for her family.

While we have lost this beautiful human being, we hold onto the hope that she is at peace. As 2 Timothy 4: 7 – 8 states, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day.” We trust that God has welcomed her with open arms, and this brings us comfort in our loss.

Her laughter, her sense of humor, her kindness, and her unwavering faith will always be remembered. Melina Fils-Aime, you will be missed!!!

Melina Fils-Aime, connue sous le nom de « Joceline ou Ti Joce » par ses proches, est née à Port-au-Prince, en Haïti, le 20 mars 1963. En raison de sa nature aidante, elle a étudié les soins infirmiers et est devenue infirmière à temps plein à FAME PERO INSTITUTE. C'était une chrétienne très dévouée dont la foi était la pierre angulaire de sa vie. Ses actions et son implication dans son église, comme le leadership des jeunes, la tournée missionnaire et l'enseignante de l'école du dimanche, témoignent de la force de ses convictions.

En 1996, elle quitte Haïti pour rejoindre son père et ses frères et sœurs aux États-Unis. C’était un nouveau monde pour elle, mais ce n’était qu’un défi magnifiquement perfectionné. Elle ne pouvait pas rester à l’écart des soins de santé et réussissait toujours à aller travailler même si elle était malade. Son dévouement à son travail était vraiment inspirant. Ti Joce était volontaire, solide et ferme dans ses convictions. Elle ne parlait pas seulement pour parler. Elle était très stricte mais aimante. Elle donnait des conseils mais ne se faisait jamais imposer. Elle réprimandait, mais jamais par méchanceté, uniquement parce qu'elle voulait le meilleur pour sa famille.Même si nous avons perdu ce bel être humain, nous gardons l’espoir qu’elle soit en paix. Comme le dit 2 Timothée 4 : 7-8 : « J’ai combattu le bon combat, j’ai achevé la course, j’ai gardé la foi. Maintenant, la couronne de justice m'est réservée, que le Seigneur, le juste juge, me donnera en ce jour-là. » Nous sommes convaincus que Dieu l’a accueillie à bras ouverts, et cela nous réconforte dans notre perte.

Son rire, son sens de l'humour, sa gentillesse et sa foi inébranlable resteront toujours dans les mémoires. Mélina Fils-Aimé, vous allez nous manquer !!!
