Nadine Romeus Laporte

Nana by her name Nadine Roméus Laporte born May 28, 1967, in Gonaives. She is the eldest of a family made up of (7) brothers and sisters: Jacob, Anovil (deceased), Anoult, Emma, Mirlande and Mirlène. Taken in by Auntie Dodo and Auntie Raymond in the 80s, she spent very long years in this family who loved her, whom she also loved.

In 1991, she met the one and only man in her life. First two strangers, who became friends; from friendship to love, Nadine and Josil Laporte became married in 1995. From this union were born her three daughters: Joelle Taina in the year of 1996, Immacula Sarah in 2002, but sadly died 1 month and fifteen days after her birth following congenital complications and lastly, Anne Stéphie in 2004.

Later in her life, she did her classical studies at Collège Jean Price Mars where, she met her two great friends: Bernadette affectionately nicknamed Ben, Tatie Dedette and Surpris. These two friends are like sisters for her, they have woven bonds that sincerity, affection, love, support, understanding were the key words of this great friendship.

Unfortunately, diagnosed on January 2, 2023, her liver cancer put her back to the wall. She had been complaining about a long time, cancer tore her away from her family. Like the rose that blooms in the morning and fades at    sunset. We never thought she would leave so soon, on March 29, 2023, Nadine Romeus Laporte was called home to be with the Lord. She will continue to be cherished and remembered deeply by her loved ones forever and always.
