Nahomie Cadeau

Nahomie Cadeau, 49, of Bloomfield, New Jersey, passed away on August 9, 2026. Born in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti, she was the beloved daughter of Yves Eliacin and the late Marie Maude Nerese.
Throughout much of her childhood, Nahomie received her education through Catholic schools, where some of the early foundations of her character and values were formed. She later attended West Side High School, where she proudly graduated and completed an important chapter of her educational journey.
Nahomie was a loving daughter, mother, sister, and friend whose gentle and kind spirit touched the lives of everyone around her. Her beautiful smile and infectious laughter had a way of bringing joy to those in her presence. Her love was evident in the way she cared for, encouraged, and supported her family and friends.
When Nahomie was with you, she was truly present. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and was someone you could call and depend on when you needed her most. She was a woman of her word—loyal, dependable, compassionate, and deeply devoted to the people she loved.
In 2010, Nahomie took on the important role of caregiver to her beloved mother, Marie Maude Nerese. For ten years, she helped care for and support her mother until her passing in 2020. Her devotion during those years reflected the love, patience, and selflessness that were such important parts of Nahomie's character.
In 2018, Nahomie received her initial breast cancer diagnosis, beginning a difficult journey that would test her strength and faith. Throughout the challenges she faced, Nahomie was surrounded and supported by family and friends who loved her dearly. Just as she had spent so much of her life caring for others, those who loved Nahomie stood beside her and cared for her during the times when she needed them most.
Yet Nahomie's life cannot be defined by the illness that ultimately took her from us. Cancer was a part of her final chapter, but it was never her whole story.
Nahomie's story is the story of a woman born in Haiti who came to America and built a life filled with love, family, friendship, and meaningful relationships. She became a wife and mother, cared deeply for her family, created countless memories, and left an everlasting impression on the lives of those fortunate enough to know and love her.
Nahomie will be remembered not simply for the challenges she endured, but for the love she gave, the laughter she shared, the kindness she showed, and the many lives she touched.
Although Nahomie's physical presence is no longer with us, the love she gave and the memories she created will continue to live on through her husband, Samuel Cadeau, her two sons, Ethan and Jaden Cadeau, her brother, Junior Eliacin, her extended family, her many friends and loved ones. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the love and memories she leaves behind will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
