Nicole Anozil Baussan was born January 28,1943 in Port -Au Prince, Haiti. The eldest of seven children of Le’Baussan Anozil and Christine Ambroise. Her siblings Nicolas Baussan, Eli Anozil, George Anozil, Georgette Anozil, Emmanuel Anozil and Enock Anozile.
She graduated Caroline Chevreau High School. Afterwards, she graduated from Ecole De Commerce Maurice Laroche as a Professional Assistant in October 5,1971. Nicole, along with her brother Nicolas, came to America in 1974 for a better life. Nicolas was proficient in 7 languages and Nicole was a studious worker and together they planned to bring the whole family to America. Nicole’s first job in America was at a glass production company called Super Glass 1975-1979. While the job paid enough to survive, to pay the bills, and keep her newborn son healthy, it did not help accomplish her goal of saving money to bring her family to America. Nicole was employed by the New York City Clerk’s office as a secretary (1980 – 1983) and that is where she learned about medical training. Nicole started to go to medical school at night and received her Certified Nursing Assistant degree (1983) and worked for Brahgs Home Care (1983– 2020). For 25 years she worked for them and during that time she diligently and meticulously, as she started the process of migrating her siblings, and both parents. While unfortunate life events kept George and Emmanuel from joining the family in the new world, she along her brother Nicolas did everything they could to make sure those who were left behind were taken care of. Nicole loved to cook for her family as it was one of her joys seeing the family grow and eat. In her spare time, Nicole loved to sing, played the piano, and terrorize her wonderful, awesome, and respectful son. She instilled the passion in him to love his family and to always be a good man and model citizen. On October 31st 2022, Nicole has been called home after leaving an imprint that will reverberate through our family’s generation. Family first.
