Olianie Cilus

Olianie was born July 8th, 1933 in Leogane, Haiti to the parents of Silfra Cilus and Oliancine Raymond. She left Haiti at 55 years old to be reunited with her children and became a caregiver to her two grandchildren at their youth. Olianie was known for her hospitality and generosity to the community. At a young age she informed the young and old how to take care of their illnesses and problems they might've faced. She bought herbs and organic supplies from her personal farm to ones who dealt with extreme headaches, fatigue, asthma, infections and many more health issues. During her golden age whenever she received money she would give to her grandchildren and other individuals who helped her throughout the day. Her heart was filled with warmth as her lovingness filled the heart of others. Olianie had  five children, Wilner, Marie, Fortune, Eliana and Marie Andre, three of which survived. Additionally, she leaves her two grandchildren Patrick and Cassandra and close relative Walnicka.

Surely her bright smile and kind spirit will continue to follow the heart of everyone she encountered as she will be missed by her friends and family.

Olianie est née le 8 juillet 1933 à Léogâne, en Haïti, des parents de Silfra Cilus et Oliancine Raymond. Elle a quitté Haïti à 55 ans pour retrouver ses enfants et est devenue soignante pour ses deux petits-enfants dans leur jeunesse. Olianie était connue pour son hospitalité et sa générosité envers la communauté. À un jeune âge, elle a expliqué aux jeunes et aux vieux comment prendre soin de leurs maladies et des problèmes auxquels ils auraient pu faire face. Elle a acheté des herbes et des produits biologiques de sa ferme personnelle à ceux qui souffraient de maux de tête extrêmes, de fatigue, d'asthme, d'infections et de bien d'autres problèmes de santé. Pendant son âge d'or, chaque fois qu'elle recevait de l'argent, elle le donnait à ses petits-enfants et à d'autres personnes qui l'aidaient tout au long de la journée. Son cœur était rempli de chaleur alors que sa tendresse remplissait le cœur des autres. Olianie a eu cinq enfants, Wilner, Marie, Fortune, Eliana et Marie Andre, dont trois ont survécu. De plus, elle laisse ses deux petits-enfants Patrick et Cassandra et un proche parent Walnicka.

Son sourire éclatant et son esprit aimable continueront sûrement de suivre le cœur de tous ceux qu'elle a rencontrés, car elle manquera à ses amis et à sa famille.

I heard your voice in the wind today
and I turned to see your face;
The warmth of the wind caressed me
as I stood silently in place.
I felt your touch in the sun today
as its warmth filled the sky;
I closed my eyes for your embrace
and my spirit soared high.
I saw your eyes in the window pane
as I watched the falling rain;
It seemed as each raindrop fell
it quietly said your name.
I held you close in my heart today
it made me feel complete;
