OLIVIA RACINE, our beautiful and a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a devoted servant of God, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026, in Westfield NJ. She was 92 years old.
Olivia was born on august 12, 1933 in the town of Desdune, Haiti, to the late Innocent and Jesula Racine. Olivia moved to Saint Marc, Haiti, and went on to work at Saint Nicholas General Hospital as a Certified Nurse Midwife at the Pediatric/Maternity Unit from 1954 to 1966. Olivia later moved back to Desdune and continued to work as a Midwife. She is beloved by all the families she served and helped.
Olivia was a dedicated and proud mother to her three sons. She treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren. Also, she prioritized her spirituality by attending morning & evening prayers and Sunday Mass. She was a kind, compassionate, generous and loving person who would do what she could to help anyone. She enjoyed cooking and was exceptional at that art and she shared many recipes with family and friends. Of all the things she loved and enjoyed the most was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Innocent and Jesula Racine.
Five brothers: Innocent Racine, Sacrement Racine, Saint Jean Racine, Saint Murat Racine and Clersant Racine.
Four sisters: Elizabeth Previlon, Julia Previlon, Marie Jules and Anna Codio
Her son: Alix Oge - Grandson: Jeffrey Moise
She is survived by her two sisters: Alcinette Jean-Jacques and Desilia Jean-Louis.
Her two sons: Michael Racine and wife Marion, Dugar Racine and wife Sherwood. Daughter-in-law M. Louse Joseph-Oge.
Her two grandsons: Zachary Racine and Jaylen Racine.
Her four granddaughters: Maysha Racine, Natacha Racine, Nigeria Racine and Alexa Racine.
Great Granddaughter: Essence Racine.
