Paul Francois Thomas Obituary

François Thomas was born on December 3, 1956, in Benair, Haiti, to the late Tenante and
Seneque Thomas. From an early age, he demonstrated remarkable skill with his hands,
embarking on a career in carpentry. In his twenties, François left Haiti and traveled to France,
where he further developed his carpentry skills and began his career.
While in France, he met his former wife, and together they welcomed two beautiful children,
Richard and Delphine. Soon after, François and his wife made the courageous decision to move
to America in pursuit of the American dream, where they later celebrated the birth of their
youngest daughter, Julie. François was deeply committed to education and consistently
encouraged his children to excel in school, fostering their potential to create better futures for
themselves. François’s journey is a testament to his dedication to family and craft, leaving behind
a legacy that will be cherished by those who knew and loved him.

François led a fulfilling life marked by his deep devotion to the Lord. He attended Holy Spirit &
Our Lady Help of Christians Church regularly, where he found a loving community of brothers
and sisters who supported him in nurturing his faith. François was passionate about serving the
Lord, often seen praying or gently holding his rosary in his hands. He actively participated in
various prayer groups, including the Knights of Columbus and Charismatic Prayer group and
was also a member of Saint Leo’s Roman Catholic Church. Later, he dedicated himself to the
church as a custodian, where he became well-known among church members and others as a
dependable handyman. His unwavering commitment and warm spirit left a lasting impact on all
who knew him. Not only did he dedicate himself to the church, but he also possessed a
compassionate heart for giving and assisting those in need. He was always willing to support
individuals with limited resources, and even when he had little to offer, he generously shared
what he could.
On September 4th, 2024, François was called home to be with the Lord. He leaves behind his
sons, Rigobert and Richard; his daughters, Fabiola, Delphine, and Julie; his brothers, Michelet
and Jean Robert; and his sisters, Venante and Velene; his grandson, Noah. He is also survived by
many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
François has left to be with the Lord, but he has not left our hearts.
