Rissemene Felix was born on October 15, 1955, in Desdunes, Haiti, to the late Bovi Felix and Parmi Alcius. She left Haiti in 1990 and settled permanently in the United States. After settling in the United States, she worked diligently to support her family and build a stable life. She embraced new opportunities while remaining deeply connected to her cultural roots. She was a devoted daughter, caring sister, loving aunt, nurturing mother, and cherished grandmother, touching the lives of all her family members with love and kindness.
Known for her resilience and work ethic, she carried herself with quiet strength and did whatever was necessary for the people she loved. She was known as a true jack of all trades, a woman who could do just about anything she put her mind to. At home, she found joy in cooking and caring for those around her. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, love, and togetherness, where food was more than a meal - it was how she showed love.
She had a deep love for her children and grandchildren and found joy in being present for them and supporting them in every way she could. She was a woman who got along with everyone she met. She carried no hate in her heart, treated people with kindness, and believed in keeping the peace. At the same time, she was honest and unafraid to speak her mind, always standing firm in who she was. Her strength, warmth, and authenticity will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
She was called home to be with the Lord on January 3, 2026. Leaving behind a lasting legacy through her five children and the many lives she influenced with her love, wisdom, and care. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit and the lessons she shared continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Sharing the memories of her wonderful life are:
