Rose Celiya Albert Obituary

Rose Celiya Albert was born on October 24, 1955, in the serene town of Gros Morne, Haiti, to Mr. Sulfen Belhomme and Mrs. Finesia Merelus. As the second of five children, Rose was surrounded by love and the strong values of faith, family, and community that shaped her into the kind and caring person she became.

On January 25, 1975, Rose married her childhood sweetheart, Saint Hubert Albert. Their love story was one for the ages—rooted in their shared history from middle school and blossoming into a lifelong partnership. When Saint Hubert moved to the United States, Rose faithfully followed him, arriving on July 4, 1984, to build a new life together. Their 46-year marriage was a testament to their unwavering love and devotion, filled with joy, challenges, and shared faith, until Saint Hubert’s passing in May 2021. Together, they raised four wonderful children: Bartaly, Muriame, Fedia, and Christine, who were the light of Rose’s life.

From a young age, Rose’s heart belonged to Jesus, and her faith was the guiding star of her life. She was not just a parishioner but a pillar of her church, where her warm presence, tireless dedication, and boundless love made a difference in countless lives. Rose’s deep spirituality was evident in every smile, every kind word, and every act of generosity she extended to those around her.

One of the simple joys of Rose’s life was keeping her television tuned daily to Haitian radio stations like "Tele Pitit Manman Mari" or "Radio Tele Lafwa." This small ritual connected her to her roots, her culture, and the spiritual heritage that was so dear to her heart.

Rose’s legacy lives on through her family, whom she cherished beyond measure. She is lovingly survived by her two brothers, Jean Claude and Derigene, and her two sisters, Roselor and Mezina. Her 12 grandchildren—Shenya, Brianna, Devon, Krasner, Kimora, Rose, Christian, Daisy, Simon, Jayden, Caleesa, and Celine—were the pride and joy of her life, each one holding a special place in her heart. Her great-grandson, Sylas, brought her immense happiness, and her love for him was boundless.

Rose Celiya Albert will forever be remembered for the warmth, compassion, and love that she generously shared with everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of faith, kindness, and family values will continue to inspire and guide those she leaves behind. Though she may no longer be with us, Rose’s love and light will forever live on in our hearts. She has now gone on to join her beloved husband, Saint Hubert, in eternal peace.
