Villaire Pierre, son of Joseph A. Pierre, and the late Anata Pierre was born November 16,1966 in St-Marc Haiti. At an early age he professed his love of Jesus Christ and joined E ben-ezer Baptiste Church in Saint Marc, Haiti, where he attended with his grandfather Pierre Saget, Grandmother Matilde Saget and brothers. He immigrated to the United States in May of 1984. After graduating from Elizabeth Highschool, he attended Monmouth College in West Long Branch, New Jersey, where he received a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. He was united in holy matrimony to Magdala Pierre on October 30, 1999. This union was blessed with two children, Villaire Albert Pierre and Christian Pierre.
Villaire was a gentle giant who connected with an array of individuals regardless of background or walk of life. He exuded positivity wherever he went and loved a good laugh. He loved his family dearly, those near and far. He was reliable and known for showing up for others in need as well as being a loving father, brother, and a caring husband to his wife. He was an active member of the Sanctification Church of God and well loved by his fellow church members and his spiritual father, Pastor Carlo Nazaire.
He is survived by his brothers Ernst, Madere, Rubens, Luchy and Evans Pierre as well as his sister in laws Marleine, Elizabeth Villiere, Jeanne Bertha, Emanite, Christina, brother in laws Nikely Villiere, Theron Servance, and mother-in-law Meberle Villiere. His only sister Louisette Pierre passed on in May of 2020. He is survived by his Uncles Roger, Pastor Rochenet, and Pastor Jeannot, as well as his Aunts Benita Saget, Anide Pierre, and Lucienne Alcine. He is survived by his nieces and nephews Hermione, Sheila, Shelby, Charles Edouard, Rebecca, Deborah, Sephorah, Robinson, Melisa, Berlande, Sammuel, Janisa, Janelle, Bruno (deceased), and Blessing Adore Servance. He is also survived by his cousins Herodia, Sherly, Junior, Grand Pierre, Isemode, Jacques, Ketly, Pierre Paul, Henry, Pierre Richard, Phito, Gerardo, Pouchon, Girard, Botcham, David, Emmanuel, Rochena, Maudeline, Galate, Genesis, Ricardo, Danie, Johana, Enoch, Robins, Luci Enock, Marie Luci, Michelin, Mathilde, Ben, Darlen, Rousseline, Natasha, Darlene, Jeka, Kely, Soma, Glaudianne, Bossuet, Taya, Ruth and others.
Villaire ministered to millions globally with his music for over 40 years. His powerful and anointed voice touched the hearts of many through his eight albums and 80+ titles, like Bartime, Ta Parole, Li Vivan, Rele Jesus, Restore-m, Pilot and many more greats. His music is available on countless streaming platforms. Villaire also loved to draw. He drew many beautiful pieces which he would often share with his family and friends. Villaire took his last breath at the tender age of 57, on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 9:20 while listening to his song “O Canaan’’. Villaire may be absent in body, but he is present in spirit. May his artistry continue to impact and comfort his family, friends and supporters while in turn continuing to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Today we are not mourning but celebrating the life of a giant and a life well lived. We will remember him in our hearts forever.
