Wayne Cameron Clarke was born on January 11, 1955 in St. James, Barbados, to the parentage of Conrad Clarke and Geraldine Bullen Clarke. After graduating from St John the Baptist School, Wayne worked for a few gas stations throughout the island before migrating to New Jersey, USA in 1980.
After arriving in New Jersey, Wayne worked for a number of companies, including Wedgewood Restaurants, Allison Corporation and Tennant Corporation.
Wayne was one of a kind, a man who one never forgot and he left an imprint on everyone he met.
Wayne’s love for watching and playing golf, drove him to join and become a member of Weequahic Golf Club in Newark NJ. There he spent all his free time playing and participating in many golf tournaments, winning many trophies.
Wayne is survived by his three children: Martin, Jonel and Damian Hoyte, all of Hoyte's Village, St James, Barbados. His Grandchildren: Breanne Hoyte, Kareem Layne and Hassan Howard. His Brothers and Sisters:, Shirley Clarke, Allan Bullen, Dorothy Clarke, Roslyn Clarke, Simanette Harewood and Anthony Clarke. His Friends: Ken Lund, Jeffrey Collymore , Dr Willis, Dr Harper, Willie Belton, David Belgrave and a host of sorrowing family and friends. He was predeceased by a brother Winston Bullen of Rochdale England.
The viewing/service will be Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Island Memorial, 49 S Munn Ave, East Orange NJ.
Wayne's final resting place will be his homeland Barbados!
