It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Wed Thalerand, a beloved son, grandson, nephew, brother and boyfriend. Wed was born in Haiti on November 26, 2006. He moved to the U.S in 2016 and his infection joy, playful spirit and king heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A student of great promise, in 2016 Wed attended Harrison Elementary School, in 2018 he attended Leonard V. Moore Middle School, in 2019 he attended Grace Wilday Junior High School and most recently from 2022-2024 he attended John E. Technology Academy. Throughout his education Wed was known for his intelligence, his ability to make friends easily and his deep respect for others. He approached school and life with an enthusiasm that inspired his peers and teachers alike. Wed had a great love for sports, particularly soccer and enjoyed playing with friends and family. Whether on the field or in the virtual world Wed’s competitive spirit shined brightly. He was a dedicated plater in both real life matches and his favorite video game FIFA, where he maintained a high ranking and constantly challenged himself to improve. His love for the game mirrored his love for life always full of energy, passion and a drive to do his best. As a son, grandson, nephew, brother, boyfriend and cousin. Wed was a cherished member of his family. He brought laughter, warmth and love in every room always making sure to spend time with those he cared for. His affection for his girlfriend and his close bond with his family were a testament to his loyalty, kindness and deep capacity for love. Though Wed’s time with us was far too short, his Impact on our lives will remain forever. His infectious laughter, his loving nature and zest for life will live on In our memories. Wed touched everyone he met with kindness and joy, and his spirit will continue to inspire us. He is survived by his parents Mariette desir and Lucson Thalerand, his grandparents Berthony Desir and Lisemaise Felix, his siblings Kenderley Desir, Marcus Thalerand and Anne Thalerand, his uncle and aunts Maradona Desir, Marie Desir, Berlin Desir and Johanny Pinales, his cousins Jaden Samedi, Kenley Peition and Chloe Desir, his girlfriend A’mia Martinez and his extended family and friends who loved him deeply.
