Wilguins was born on November 30th, 1981, in Desdunes, Haiti to the parentage of Lucifie Alphonse and Augustin Auguste. He completed his high school in Port - Au- Prince, Haiti. He left Haiti for the United States at the age of 19 years old, a dream of his at early age.
Wilguins enjoyed traveling back and forth to Haiti, spoke three languages, English, Creole, and French. Wilguins permanently decided to reside and the United States and eventually became a naturalized citizen
While residing in the U.S., Wilguins cared and provided for his family. Wilguins loved to watch basketball, a big fan of LeBron James, hanging with friends to talk politics while enjoying a cold beer.
Wilguins was a people’s person. Wilguins would go out of his way to help people who was in dire needs, even if that meant forgoing his responsibilities. On top of his responsibilities, he would go take his mother to the doctor’s office, take out the trash, pick up her medication for her, he would even help newcomers from Haiti of no relations to them find jobs.
Wilguins was big on education. Although money was tight, he made sure his children lived in a city that has a good school system. He made sure all his kids of college age attend college. He did not talk about caring, he showed it, and he made sure he made it to big sports games that his kids played in, even if they were out of state, so he could show support.
On April 17th, 2025, Wilguins was called home to be with the Lord. Sharing the memories of his meaningful life are:
