Jonatha Jean-Baptiste was a soft-spoken, loving, generous, friendly young woman who was called to join our heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. She touched the hearts and lives of all whose paths she crossed with her gracious personality. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to any and everyone.
Jonatha was born on March 18, 1992 in Newark, New Jersey, daughter of Joleine Odies and Luckner Odies. She was the eldest of three children and grew up with a strong sense of family. Jonatha graduated from Sacred Heart School of Vailsburg and Saint Patrick High School and then attended Union County College majoring in Business Administration. She loved to dance, loved to laugh, and blessed us with her love for music as she played the piano. We will miss her laughter, love, friendship, beautiful big brown eyes, and gorgeous smile.
Jonatha Jean-Baptiste survived by her parents Joleine Odies and Luckner Odies; her sister Shahiana Odies and brother Elijah Odies; her grandparents Atala Jean-Baptiste and Dieufils Jean-Baptiste; her aunts Marie Silvana Vital and Sonique Dumerand; her uncles Chavanne Jean-Baptiste, Fritz Jean-Brian, and Luckner Jean-Baptiste; her cousins Nirva Vital, Cathiana Vital, Perkens Vital, Christie Jean-Baptiste, Christopher Jean-Baptiste, Sarah Dumerand, Isaiah Dumerand, Maurece Jean-Brian, Myree Jean-Brian, Kayla Jean-Baptiste, and Leanna Jean-Baptiste and a host of relatives and friends.
Jonatha’s memory will live on as a lovely young lady who was filled with kindness, compassion, and commitment to her family.
We will always love you and keep a special place in our hearts that only you can fill.
